 Post Brexit and Covid we temporarily relocated to the Netherlands to obtain family citizenship.  This meant returning to the forest I grew up with.  The performance Mycelial connections focussed on the generational link to that forest and the passing on of the thread of life, like a mycelial network with fungi as  fruiting bodies.  Dutch and UK forests share the landscapes where they were connected prior to the North sea moving in. Breckland in Norfolk and the Veluwe in Gelderland have their birches, fungi and deciduous trees in common.  UK woodlands with their more open planting let in more light.  Hollow ways, as old cattle routes, become enclosed pathways dug into the landscape, equivalent to forest paths.
