Weavings for Sale

These are the weavings that I currently have on sale, with dimensions and information  about the materials they contain.  They are freehanging from a stick, mounted on stretched canvas or within a box.  Please use the form on the contacts page to enquire further or if you wish to make a purchase.

Ploughed Field

Opposite my home the use of the field changes annuallly.  This year it was ploughed up and the purple brown colours of the earth echoed those of the pink lilac mist

Fenland Mist_edited_edited.png

Fenland Mist shows  the silvery winterlight washing over the intermingling water, land and sky in the Fens of east Anglia.  It was woven for the Eastern region tapestry Group exhibition at the Courtyard gallery in Hertford.

 

Material: wool, fleece, cotton, linnen and silk, hand felted elements

Fenland mist

Highland Heather Mountain

Heather Mountain was based on the flowering of the heather in the Western highlands.  For a Dutch migrant, with a love of flat heather fields the vertical heatherscape against the blue of the stream and the sky left a remaining impression.

Materials: fleece, woollen and cotton yarn with a crocheted edge

This weaving evokes swimming in the river Cam, the water rippling around me

Kelp weaving in the sea off the coast of orkney

Mixed yarns and fleece, close weave.

Off the coast of paxos the mediterranean bashed against a rocky headland.  The turqoises, blues and greens sparkled in the light.

Mixed wool, silk and cotton, as well as woollen fleece and unspun silk.

Portrait of dramatherapist John Whitelock, woven for a St Albans museum exhibition, commemorating people who had been important to the community.  John worked as a therapist in several of the asylums (which later became the community mental health trust), surrounding St Albans in Hertfordsire
