Ploughed Field

Opposite my home the use of the field changes annuallly. This year it was ploughed up and the purple brown colours of the earth echoed those of the pink lilac mist

Fenland mist
Fenland Mist shows the silvery winterlight washing over the intermingling water, land and sky in the Fens of east Anglia. It was woven for the Eastern region tapestry Group exhibition at the Courtyard gallery in Hertford.

Highland Heather Mountain
Heather Mountain was based on the flowering of the heather in the Western highlands. For a Dutch migrant, with a love of flat heather fields the vertical heatherscape against the blue of the stream and the sky left a remaining impression.

Off the coast of paxos the mediterranean bashed against a rocky headland. The turqoises, blues and greens sparkled in the light.

Portrait of dramatherapist John Whitelock, woven for a St Albans museum exhibition, commemorating people who had been important to the community. John worked as a therapist in several of the asylums (which later became the community mental health trust), surrounding St Albans in Hertfordsire
