The Veluwe

The veluwe is an area of the Netherlands, akin to Breckland in Norfolk. It is characterised by heather fields and occasional woodlands in a gently undulating terrain with a sandy soil.  Lightly coloured footpaths and cycle routes criss cross the landscape under open skies.
